Quickcord, not wanting to hijack, hope you don't mind. Just read your post Maximus' and I'm curious how you negotiate the temperature in keeping Latz with magnifica. Mags like it warmer (tropical reef temps) and Latz like it cool (subtropical reef temps).

I keep my temp between 76-78. My Latz are captive bred and are used to those temps. The parents were raised in 78-82 degree water and have no problems at those temps either. Long term wise, who really knows? All I can say is that they seem to be thriving at that temperature for the time being.

Any issues with the mags at those temps? I always shoot for 80-81 or so for mine.

I wish I knew. I've only had this mag for a few days now so I am hoping for the best. I will ask the person who had it before me as she had it for a couple of years. I will report back as soon as I find out. Thanks Gary.
