Hi Micki. You have a large space to fill in that tank. What're boxes for?

Have you tried using gloves? Also, is that a sandbed in your sump?

Anyway, great tank and I'd love to see a whole tank shot.

Keep it up

@LVIN

@lvin, I don't really want the packed out tank look right now. I had that with my 55 (look in my gallery photos), I was ready for a change. I would like to enjoy the fish for a while now. :)

The boxes are so I don[t have to "stack" the live rok so much. With my 55 I could use the back for a little support, with this being a room divider I have no back to give any support. I actually took one of the boxes on the right side out today. It was breaking and I was afraid it would fall at some point in time. Some of the fish are actually liking the boxes. My yellow tang loves it! He goes in one and looks around and out at us all the time.

Thought about gloves, In fact my son went to buy some for me but the pet store no longer carries them. I have always taken care of my tanks with no gloves, but thought I would try it this time. Didn't work out though. (I have a 12 inch bristle worm and was scared to death that it would get me! It didn't and I saw it in the tank last night. I really was hoping to catch it and send it to the fuge. Oh well...

I have a 1 inch sand bed in my "fuge" I also placed a few cups of CC from my 55 on the sand to seed the tank.

Actually there are a few whole tank shots. Just none that look that great. I can't seem to get far enough away from the tank for a really good full shot. I'll keep working on it though! :D

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated!

Micki, this is great! Thank you so much for sharing. A few things I liked the most:

The light brackets.
The power connections for the MH's.
The woodwork.
The refugium drain system.

All are very cool, and you have a lot to look forward to.

The acrylic stands remind me of a display at Dillards. :D

nice tank, great set up. thanks for sharing your pics.

try benadryl for your arm pain. most likely an allergic reaction.
gael

gaels, Thank you! I took my allergy before I started because I knew this might happen... :D

Another 55 gallons and you can join the big tank group. Just kidding. I didn't realize how deep you were into this addiction. Very nice setup. It puts mine to shame.

Thanks Slicktrax! I think this will be the biggest I go, (for a while anyway) :)

I have to give my husband the set up credit. He did a great job!

Well, it's still not out of the question as I used to live in Dayton. Worked at Wright-Patterson for a few years. Do you, or anyone pictured, fly RC aircraft?

dot

Hey dot, nope, my husbands Uncle used to work at Wright-Patt, but that was some time ago. Although my Dad (the man on thr right) used to fly privately, I don't think he ever flew from Wright-Patt though.

Hi guys! Here are some updated pictures! I need to work on some full shots with the lights on. Here is one full shot in the morning with the lights off. Also some of the creatures! :)

Need to resize. Will be back! :D
