Surgery went great! They only did a twilight sleep so I didn't have to have a full general anesthesia or be intubated! I even ate some pizza for dinner tonight! The pain isn't bad at all. I'll take a vicodin tonight to help me sleep but tylenol should be fine tomorrow. :)

If I take several doses of vicodin in a row, I start feeling sick. Usually 2 doses is enough for pain management for me.

I did have an allergic reaction to the antibiotic they gave me via IV. I've had this antibiotic before with no problems. I started itching really bad and breaking out in hives. Needless to say they DC'd it ASAP. That was a bit scary.

don't ya love it when the docs give you something bad?

Not really their fault. I've had this several times before both oral and IV. I was just as surprised as they were. :)

Thanks Rita, today is a little rough. I actually slept almost 12 hours which is very unlike me. :)

Thanks Hop, I think today will be an in the bed football watching day. Or sleeping day. :) I'm sure all the local has worn off and I'm feeling the "true" pain now. But it's still not terrible. :)

Just take it easy. we're getting old and we need to rest after things like this. Sometimes we forget and make things worse. Gonna watch the Hawks eh? :D

Getting old??? Who are you talking about? surley not me!?! (ok, I resemble that remark...) Actually I think I over did it a bit yesterday. For some reason I decided the macro and chaeto needed to be cleaned out of the fuges. Why yesterday I don't know, but I cleaned them and now I'm paying for it.

Not really into any teams for this playoff season. My team (Da Bears) well we all know what happened to them this year...

Hopefully it's not to bad now then. Not much fun being in pain ha :(

Thanks Chris, I pretty much slept yesterday away. :) The pain is MUCH less this morning! A good start for a Monday! :)

Micki, how bout an update? How's things going?

I noticed you haven't been double posting lately. Did the surgery fix that, too?

Hey kevin! Thanks for asking. I'm doing fine. I still feel a bit of an "ouch" when I pick up my 20 month old Grandson too much but nothing terrible. Right before I had surgery I had to clean out my PC. I had some sort of virus and took it down to factory settings. I'm "guessing" that was the double post problem?!? Or perhaps it was the surgery... :)

In other life, we are working pretty hard on our older sons house with remodeling his upstairs. My youngest son continues to have breathing problems off and on but nothing that we haven't been able to deal with at home. He seems to be having more plugs in his lungs. We go back to Ohio State next month for a chest CT and to see the Dr. Not sure what they will do at that point. He continues on the antifungal medication.

As for the tanks, everything remains the same. I'm waiting for a nice clown trigger to come to my favorite LFS and I will be adding that to my 150 FO tank. I would still like to get some anthias for the reef. Just waiting for "the right price". :)

When I first read your post I thought the doctors name was Dr. Not.

LOL... That would be a little scary to me... ;)

LOL :)

Glad to hear the recovery is going well. Being able to pick up the yunguns is always a good sign. Of course, a hug from the kiddies always makes the pain go away.

Sorry to hear your son is still having such serious problems. I understand it's a chronic ailment, hopefully the the doctors will be able to mitigate the issues and help him to return to some semblance of normalcy.

Anthias are beautiful fish. My favorites are Bartlett's. As you well know patience is a requirement in this hobby. Your price, and desirable specimens, will eventually meet :)
