Some old shots- just to save all you reefers some time scrounging back through the pages just to see some pictures.

Wow what a change!

it took some retraining to make it happen. With Reefs everything is about keeping the water as clean as possible- not quite the same here.

That would be perfect for a blue morph green tree python.
To humid I believe - but I considered one.

i think it looks real good too!

Thank you!

What a cool transformation! I love the look! Do you have a FTS?

Thanks! What's a FTS?

the reef is down, right? Are you asking how your reef could have been improved or how the website can be improved? Your reef was unbelievable,
I'm sorry to see it gone :(

I am focusing on the website- The reef is down so I can't really do anything with it.

Thanks for the compliment though!

I really like how you describe what you would do differently. I agree with your comments regarding using dead rock and seeding it, instead of live rock. The downside of introducing a pest in a large tank in enormous and avoidable. Also, regarding efficiency, lighting is the single most costly component in terms of energy consumption. Natural lighting with supplemental lights, LED's or actinics, for viewing would provide considerable savings over metal halides. An elevated surge tank would also provide economical flow.

Adding a blog to your site for Q&A would be valuable as many of us planning a large tank have questions and would allow the audience to view.

Nice site! Thanks for doing it! :)

Awesome suggestion and thanks for the feedback!

Energy,

I loved watching your build! I am still interested in seeing someone house a bluedot, breed this unreal critter. I like your webpage. One thing I will say if you do decide after time to get back into it, be careful following your sugestions... after having a huge system in the mid 90's I realized, like you, things you will add with live rock will get on top of you! But having worked for well almost 2 decades trying to do it your way (dead rock with seed) things will still get on top of you. We have a long way to go...you have helped everyone take a step closer with your thread...thank you.
