The 6055 is here! The 6055 is here!

After waiting for nine months my 6055 and Singlecontroller has finally arrived. I knew it would be on my doorstep today so I pedaled the Burley a little faster than usual on my nine mile commute home. We have a heat index of 95 today with ridiculous humidity, not to mention I had a 12mph headwind. I cursed myself for ditching our second car. As I turned onto my street I could see the box on my porch and that gave me a final burst of energy to make it home. I ripped into the box as sweat ran into my eyes and blinded me, but I didn't care and shrugged off the pain. Through my tears and the bubble wrap I recognized that familiar blue color we all know and love and a wide smile filled my face. Running down to the basement I nearly tripped over the dangling cords with my cleats. I had that pump in the tank and running in seconds flat, pretty impressive I must say, especially considering I was blind at the time. Now that I can see it in operation I will say it was worth the wait and every penny. I will post some pics when I get my camera back.

Yahooo for you :D and great story. I am reading that more folks got their 6055's this week. Unfortunately the vendor that I am on the waiting list for my 2 6055's did not receive any in this last go around. I am #1 on the list . Dang, so close yet so far. He just says he relies on Tunze to be fair about splitting them up among the vendors. Since he didn't get any this time he figures he will get some in the next go around. Now how long will that be??? Patience, patience, patience. Nothing good ever comes fast in this hobby, lol.

Premium Aquatics is doing it one per customer until the supply gets better. I am glad for that because the guy ahead of me wanted 4.

ive been on the waiting list for 8 months and im way ahead of oldreefer76 lol

looks like i might get mine before the snow gets here again

Rub it in why don't you ;)...joke. Lucky you :D. It makes the getting even sweeter when you have to wait for so long. At least that is what I am telling myself.

Reef Exotics just notified that the two I ordered will be sent out next week. Not bad since I had only been on the waiting list for about a month.

Acro Ready!;)

smatter- I'm totally stoked for you! I just got my set (4 of 'em) today after a crazy long wait, too! Of course, just when you think that life can't get any better, something comes along to put you back in your place:

So I put 'em together, get everything connected, and am ready to attach 'em to my 7095, when I realized that something was missing...Yup- when I sold my 6100s to fund my 6055 purchase (How else do you fund these things?), I realized that I included all of the MIDI cables that come with the controller as a (foolish) "extra" for the buyer! Oh, yeah- I still need them for the Nanos...I feel like a major dork!

Naturally, Radio Shack was closed for the day, so I couldn't run down there to get some, so no water movement demonstration for me tonight! Gotta get some tommorrow! Well, I figure that if I could wait almost 8 months to get the Streams, I can wait another few hours to fire 'em up!

Just want to verify- there is no particular style of MIDI cable that you need to hook up Streams to the 7095, right? Also, if I remember correctly, the power setting on the power supply for maximum performance is 24volts, correct?

This is the first ownership experience that I've personally had with Nano Streams, and I must say that I'm absolutely blown away by the small size, amazing directional capability, and typical Tunze build quality. I'm mounting them underneath the Eurobracing on my cube aquarium, and I love the directional capability and simplicity. They are not overly obtrusive or ugly.

For everyone who's still waiting for theirs- hang in there- it will definitely be worth the wait!
