The angel thread to end all angel threads: all owners of angelfish in reefs respond!!

Blue Ring Angel
Reef Safe
Complete Glutten and will eat just about anything including pellets and flake food but he prefers Hikari Angel Formula frozen food.

Great thread! It's nice to see so many people with good or relatively good experiences with Angels in a reef aquarium. I will add my experience. I have owned two flame angels and a Potter. None of these dwarfs touched anything (LPS, SPS, softies or anemones). I currently own a Juvenile Regal and for the most part I'd say he is reef safe. The only think he went after was a Brain coral. He hasn't bothered my Zoas, or other corals. He leaves the anemone alone as well. I cannot comment on clams, as I own none.

Emperor, ate reef rapidly, he was a juvenile. Took weeks to get out and had to make a plastic weighted cover to stop the damage to said coral.

Ate the mouths out of the lobo who fully recovered that is over 30 years old in a tank
