What color, if any, did you paint the back of your tank? Feel free to post a pic. I will be setting up my tank very soon. I know, eventually corraline will cover, but I like the background as it prevents light leakage and looks better (IMO) until the coralline comes in.

Hey Boneh,
I've used black and a royal blue, the blue is obviously brighter... But i think i like the look of the black better, makes the corals/fish pop. I have used the Krylon brand and had a lot of luck, doesn't chip easily, doesn't leave drips....fwiw

Black vinyl adhesive/contact paper, the one you can buy from a sign store.
you put them on like how you would put a care tint on, with spray bottle & squeegee

I used black also, at the last meeting during my presentation Joe Y stated that there is a new paint product out that doesn't scratch easily. Reach out to him.

I like the idea of the vinyl from the sign store, that way you could always change it if you wanted to

Black vinyl way to go.
ThAnx Dex...

Agreed. Have blue vinyl, dont really like as much as black.

ok, looks like I am going with black on the new tank. Still haven't decided on vinyl vs krylon. Forthose of you who have seen both, any visible difference?

I can tell you that if you're planning on doing it in your house, spray paint is NOT the best option.

I say black, but suggest you not paint the tank it self, do it on a sheet of some other material and then lean it against the tank, reason for this is, you have the option of removing it if you don't like it but most of all you can pull it off when you want to see what's going on behind the rocks.
I had a few things disappear or fall behind the rocks and have no way of looking back there because it is painted.
