The Best from Brazil - 400G SPS Tank

Carlos this is not just the best from Brazil, it is one of the best reef aquariums I have ever seen. The colors of the corals are amazing, jeje no Zeovit or ULN systems.

What is amazing is the simple setup and very different from what we see every day.

You said that you stop feeding the corals because of the spawning but are you feeding nothing? What are you feeding to the fish?

I see the calcium reactor inside the sump! This is the first time I see that.

Is it difficult to clean the sharkbag? It seems that its not easy.

Hope to see this tank as tank of the month some day. Congratulations on such an amazing tank.

Carlinhos, you deserve it: TOTM, no less than that!

Well, I ran out of footage, so be prepared for another visit...

Really so i can go to home depot and get any expoxy glue ??

I'm trying to glue my rocks together and espically my frags but the glue doesn't hold them well. And not only that everytime i stick my hand into the tank i always knock something down..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..:}:}lololo

Aquamend is available at home depot and works great in our aquariums.

The fish food feeds the corals too, and this is enough, if I use specific food for corals they will spawn too much.

The calcium reactor is inside one of the sump boxes, half underwater, and it works very well, without problems.

It's very easy to clean the sharkbag, it's just to put it in water with chlorine for 24 hours.

Carlinhos.

I love this tank! Amazingly THICK branches on some of those stags too!!!

You must have a lot of good flow going through there and plenty of media getting used up by your calcium reactor, eh?

im speechless.... i've seen a lot of awesome tanks in my time but ummm nothing like this... i'm really really really interested in those sump containers you are running below your display... are those sand boxes lined up in the bottom? Are you keeping differrent types of sand? It seems like you're doing some revoluntionary designs with your filtration and I'm curious to what you have tried previous before hand and what you are using now, I have a feeling this is why you are having a lot of success and I'd like to hear about it. Best Regards and Congrats on another awesome tank.

Hi,

There are four boxes of samoa pink, I´m using just samoa.

I tried a lot of things, DSB, Jaubert and I thing that this kind of system is not the best, I believe that I had a DSB crash in my last system, after 3 years.

Now I´m using the BB in the main display, and I have a DSB in the boxes, so if I need I can clean and wash the DSB and return them. If I want I can clean each box with a gap between them.

Best Regards ,

Carlinhos.
