hype is cool! bring on more $300 per polyp pricing!! w00t!

Only if your buying for everyone.

I am confused.....as usual.....

Only thing I can think of is-

1. Maybe mucho did start this thread, in hopes of a thread without pics, as he said, hes busted- although I doubt it.

2. He knew about the polyp hype of the PH's before it started, and the deepwater zoas (and possibly others that havnt surfaced yet)

or-

3. Mucho has some zoas that we have never seen (hence the no pics in a long time) and will be showing them on his B-day including the banana yellow and black ones I recall reading about in this thread (gotta have time to grow out)

Any guesses on which it is???? :eek2: :p

lol
Me too Sir Patrick.

...oh man, you have absolutely no idea how hard it is for me NOT to get this thread off track.
It's like fighting off Kryptonite or something.

But i'm doing really well with it i think, don't you?

I know exactly what you mean (unless I am confused, as originally posted) and you are doing great at keeping the thread on track.

Sending PM .

If there are so many Caribbean zoanthids, how come I rarely see them when I'm diving? Am I looking too deep?

probably. most zoas here are in 30 feet or less. IME, 75% are in 15 feet or less. when I collect for aquaculture, I frequently don't even get wet as they're exposed at low tide.

you dont have to wait till then, there have been alot of newer morphs coming in lately, as i recently seen atleast 10+ morphs ive never seen before, and ive seen a few over the years lol.
on a side note i keep hearing japanese deepwater zoa's, but my friend from there says all these zoa's being sold as japanese deepwaters arent coming from japan

hows it going mucho? I havent been on in a while! Its funny some of the posts, its as if people are hoping for more $300 pp zoa's.... silly. I have colonies of zoa's and on every colony theres that "strageler" that looks much different than the colony, maybe i should pluck it off and paste it to a plug and call it "antartic ,semi deep ,semi shallow, irridescent ,limited production ,LE ,collectors edition, limited quantities ,aguacultured deep space nine, and dont let me forget.... (place name like tyree, or bonsai etc here) and put a $500 price tag on it.... nah i will just trade it for some more zoa's or give it away to a local club member.

Pat btw, Aussie zoa/palys have been coming in, also " Panamanian polyps as well....
Wonder if we'll start to see polyps collected or said to be collected from Madagascar or other remote areas.

Those panamanian zoas have been around here for a while. You can get morphs like that from a vendor in Florida on coral morphologic. Awesome guys.

I was indirectly poking fun at the new thing off labeling the countries where they're located at to make it seem more desirable... nothing more. We all know they've been around

Wait till you see the new polyps I found, scuba diving, in Lake Michigan....pretty rare. Pretty sure they will be called "Wolverines".
