From my research MTC would be another choice similar to the Lifereef. I was able to find the Lifereef used so it was a no brainer

lets see some pictures of the beast. I am skimmer shopping too, coming from a beckett skimmer. I am overwhelmed as there are so many choices out there to choose from. BK, RO, Alpha, ATB, LifeReef, MRC, MTC, the list goes on an on. the hardest part is many people have limited use with multiple models because it gets so expensive to keep swapping them out. so its hard to say what is best. but if you dig deep enough you will find good solid advice.
so lets see some pictures of your skimmer in action!

Just kidding, but reminds me of medieval apocryphal debate about number of angels that can dance on end of pin. Unanswerable. If you believe in angels. Otherwise, it's a moot question.

I purchased a Tunze, only due to the fact that Roger will provide world class service.

I have a 260ish Gallon system. When I received it, I washed it with vinegar, set it in the sump, turned it of and it run for 72 hours. It was a bit wet. I raised it 2" (to the prescribed height) and have not touched it since. It simply works and works very well. Best part is its 15W and when you empty the cup and clean it, your cleaning the entire reaction chamber.

Sammei, who is my close neighbor has a 400Gal system and was running a large custom beckett stopped over and was simply amazed at the performance of this skimmer. He ordered their largest one, set it in the sump and has never adjusted it. They simply work.
