Controllers are a pretty risky business to get into, it takes a whole lot of time to test and debug these systems to the point were you feel confident that a $10,000 Aquarium won't die because your software locked up. So these things do take time. In the case of Aquatronica they test every new piece of hardware for 1 year before releasing it, that's why we are still waiting on the Leak Detectors, VHO Dimming and SMS module. They are all built and ready to go but the testing phase is still not complete.
The other good thing about controllers like the Aquatronica and Profilux and Elos is that that the companies seem to be very interested in updating their software and creating new hardware additions.
