Robby, can you tell me off hand, if the Salinity probes are made to be submersed to allow for long term monitoring? Or are they like the Calcium probes needing to be dry between uses. I used to have the aray of pinpoints, but dialed down now to only calcium - And special thanks to Lou for all his help. But now am dialing in on te controller.
The Salinity monitor I used to have would "creep" and could not be trusted. at first it was correct... but after several hours would be wrong. I later found that these were not designed to be used long term - or in real time.
I ask because I have had problems with my skimmer, patched directly into the drain, would go nuts, and remove say 3 gallons of sw, and then the tank tops with fresh... over 3-5 days my salinity fell. It would be great to set an alarm, but if the accuracy cannot be assured....
did not have the SMS features... could a controler be setup to email a dedicated address, then receive a sms that you have an email? or is there a round-about fix to this problem?
Secondly, If the controller I was looking at did not have the SMS features... could a controler be setup to email a dedicated address, then receive a sms that you have an email? or is there a round-about fix to this problem? (I don't want to side track, so short is ok.)
With money in one hand, and my mouse in the other....
