Is your beckett installed backwards?

JUST THE HOUSING ..I'm using a beckett from a local manufacture and it fits properly with the housing being up side down ...
soo I dont think its a problem..
all my skimmers ( 8 in total) have /had the housing mounted that way

definatly wanan see it in action. But i think its going to be a PITA. Becketts are probably the hardest skimmers to adjust and without being able to see its gonna be tough. MAybe this for a needlewheels or airdriven would be better. Hopefuly you can get it dialed in without too much trouble.

they arent hard at all after you turn the pump on wait a few minutes and see if it needs to be adjusted. this time I'm using a ball valve for the first time ....always I used gate valves..

as I mentioned before I want to keep the price as low as possible and see how much it would cost to go cheap...
right now I spent ...lets round everything up..$65.00 CAD. that would be...--65 /1.20= $54 USD
noot too bad ...if it works :D

I've seen the same basic thing but instead of a bucket they used a 5 gallon culligan water jug. They added the inlet to the side and stuck a collection cup on top. It worked ok from what they reported back.

ok, let me know how this goes. I need to create a skimmer, and i dont want to spend boat loads of money for a becket skimmer thats already made.

Interrested to see how that one goes. Ball valves have always been a monster headache for me.
