The clowns have started to breed!

Hey all!

Long time since I wrote in here.

But now it has happened. The clowns I've had in my tank for over two years has begun to spawn. Tonight!

Unfortunately, I was completely unprepared for this. But wanted to check with you if there is anything you can do to increase the chances that someone will survive.

They go in a tank which is just over 167L and are the only fish. There are only snails and of course bristle worms in rocks in general. They have put the eggs in their pot!

Here is a video of the action: http://youtu.be/0RRNO8x2amM

Very excited about this :)

Thanks for any input!

Congrats! Mine just started after 4 years.

Not much chance of survival in the display I'm afraid. They need very small foods and a lot of it.

I think it's more common than not to have established clowns spawn. It means you're doing a good job! But it you're thinking about raising the babies, invest the time and read up (you'll most likely decide it's not worth the hassle).

Lucky! Ive had my clowns for over 4 years and they have acted like they were spawning but no eggs yet... I want mine to spawn already!! Congrats!!
