The Continuing Adventures of Tim (Supermantis)

Tim,
We respectfully request acknowledgement that DM is well and unharmed.
Retaliation is pending your response.

Hey all.

I just chatted with Dm through email (He is a fellow gamer nerd), and (Contrary to popular fears) he has not been eaten by Tim. His personal life has had to come before transcribing Tim's escapades, but he said that he will soon pop on and say hello.

He mentioned having some login problems, but that should clear up easily enough.

He thinks that Tim just entered a molt, for those who are wondering...

"The Tim is dead... Long live the Tim!"

So not to be all abrupt or dramatic, but Tim has moved on to that big perfect ocean in the sky (I like to think he's raising all manner of Hell there too - climbing his way up the pecking order). :hammer:

I've been postponing putting the epilogue/final post up here for a few weeks now (still a little fresh for me - and I'm a big softie at heart; especially where Super-intelligent stomatopods with world-conquering dreams are concerned... and cats and dogs and stuff too, sure).

So I got tired of postponing this morning and felt I should share the news with all of you.

He had a good four years in my company and was loved by many, so hopefully he didn't mind the tiny size of the world he did get to conquer. :)

I will get around to sharing some more photos and little stories here as a proper Epilogue to Tim's story, but it may yet be another week or two before I get around to finishing the work of it (and you all know by now how good I am at keeping deadlines).

"Life" had been/has been/will be keeping me super-busy and I do plan on revisiting old friends and checking out others tanks again, but I have to take mine down for a while. I know I'll be back into reef-keeping someday, but I've lost all interest in maintaining them currently and know that the tanks I have on life support would appreciate being put down.

I think it was the silence from Tim's tank for the past month(+) that really did me in... (see? overly dramatic again *sigh*)

Many Thanks to all of you who have read and contributed to Tim's story through the years - I loved the company as well, maybe more then Tim did - he usually just looked hungry when thinking about most of you. ;)

well, if that doesn't harsh my mellow this morning i dont know what could... i will pray that all the snails, crabs, shrimp and tiny panzer tanks that The Tim has demolished over the years haven't mobilized a welcome party for him in the ten gallon desk tank in the sky... then again, he could take `em!

Wow, sorry to hear this, but im sure most of the snails, crabs, and hermits in the world arent crying. Kermit owes his life to Tim because Kermit would have been in a mantis haters tank if it werent for ur story making me want to get one:)

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I read through Tim's many adventures, and between Tim and his interpreter, you both made his story a very enjoyable one.

Good luck with your busy schedule! I look forward to your next Mantis tale. ;)
