The Continuing Adventures of Tim (Supermantis)

Leaving us hanging with a topic like you last posted since mid Nov is scary. For those of us who have followed Tim all the way, PLEASE let us know how he is doing......

Please???

He's not out of the woods yet (and has a nasty cough), but we're working to repair the damage done to his little ecosystem.

So anyway, I was just trying to protect all of you from feeling the terror I felt. Forgive me?

:D

(This always happens in the cold months... WTH?)

:worried: It's been going on three weeks since the mishap, should we be giving a toast or wearing black?

Glad to hear that Tim survived.
My little Lo Pan (N. wennerae) wasn't so lucky when my father accidently unplugged his filter. Me not noticing combined with a heavy feeding schedule for a sun coral in the tank lead to his untimelt demise...

Get well soon,Tim! Eat lot's of soup...er, snails!

Wow if Tim died that would be right up there in significance with Mr. Miyagi!!! :eek1:

I cried tears of sorrow for a week thinking of all the little "grass hoppers" that could have been..

Should we be singing Silent Night or Deck the Halls?

Is Tim OK? This flu season has been tough, he hasn't had any asian poultry has he?

Please send word to his meat bags

Hey all.

Sorry to have kept you hanging, the holiday season has been beating the Hell out of both of us and he seems to be molting a new skin to better whether the 'worst' of it.

I've been taking shots and not leaving time to edit them properly. He's told me stories I haven't related to you all (his meat bags). I'm even preparing Tim his Christmas wish (from last year) - a new home. This month I've been preparing the 75g display for tear-down. In it's place will be a smaller, easier, tidier 20L. This 20 gallon will be Tim's new kingdom and refuge to any corals I really like from the 75.

So hangtight and sleep well, the supermantis is simply dreaming of peppermint snails and shrimp. ;)

Tim, would you like a delicious stocking stuffer? I have Scrouge, who has heard tales of you..he is the mighty wretched gorilla crab (I think), and I no longer have the proper place to house him. He is, oh, 3-4"'s diameter. Dark purple, scooper, not pincher claws. He is actually sweet (no, I take that back, he destroyed ALL LR in the 210). But, if you need a tank buddy to mud westle with, he can probably be shipped fairly easily. You and DensityMan discuss it and let me know. I have video posted if you want to see him/her first to wet your appetite. :)

Tim has been feeling a bit lonely with the holidays approaching. His last dinner date cut his bag open enroute to avoid the stress of meeting him. Hopefully Scourge is made of sterner stuff... ;)

Oh, scrouge is the toughest rascal ever known. PM me info on Tim's headquarters, and I will mail he-she with great care!!

You PM box is full!! Will resend my note later on the shipping stuff..maybe let me know when you've cleaned it out?

Have a pic of Scrouge? :)

OK. PM box is open once more. Apologies for any inconvenience or missed messages that may have caused.

If any one sent me something in the last month and I 'ignored' it, chances are my PM box was full, so go ahead and send it again. ;)

Dear John (oh, sorry, I mean TIM!!) I really like you as a friend, but, and honestly it's NOT you, I just don't think I can move in with you. My human put me in a 75gal baby puffer tank recently, and finally I can grab bits of nourishment again, have more space to roam in and tons of rock to destroy. It's not the 210gal fiesta it used to be, but beats the heck of the 20gal motel room I was stashed in for a while. I KNOW I would taste good to you after a wonderful game of cat and mouse, but, for now this human likes to 'study' me for some reason, and doesn't understand I would be pleased to be served up as a cuilinary delight. I believe she agonized over fun games for us, and the great fun you would have wripping me claw by claw, eye by eye, apart, and decided I have too much wrath and havoc to wreack on this newest tank of hers yet. So, for now, I will be here. I'm sorry, as I said, I really like you as a friend, but it just can't be more.

Here is a movie she took of many of us 'banished' beings over the past year. Reefgeekster, this is more fun than a still shot!! In the beginning is my partner in crime, BUT, he gets to stay in the seahorse tank for some reason. I think he is kinder and gentler than me. I'm prowling in the dark in several scenes, but oh, I was at my grandest at the very very end when I was just a baby.

I hope you can see this flick okay. If not I'll have the human do something else to show me off.

All my best...Scrooge

Fun with Scrooge and Company

(Oh, I'm in more Hollywood Movies in the Home Reef Video thread!!) :smokin:

Kwell Vid, great Job!

Thanks...the video making addiction I have with this hobby is too much fun! What do you all think of a mantis in my puffer tank?

Right, so Tim's been a little slow making me make posts on his behalf. He did however make me transcribe a message in the Trading forums (here).

He still has many images piled up and stories in need of telling and he's entirely unhappy with the amount of time I've been alotting for his needs (so am I for that matter).

Hope all are well and just wanted to let every one know he's still alive and well; just moodier than normal. ;)
