The fight is on!

OPG LOL

So what do you guys/gals recommend? Is there anything else I can do to kill off the ich that may still be in the tank? I know the best way is to run the tank fallow for up to 10 weeks, which I intended to do an extra 2 weeks for a total of 12. But with the yellow coris wrasse being in there this seems an impossibility.
Will my tank just have ich for ever?

Hm,
I am imagining you going fishing in your tank.
Get a bit of fishing string (or any string?), a hook (the ones that dont kill), and some bait (marine worm?).
Let it hang out while you have time to chill.

When our LFS catches yellow coris wrasses, the fish get scared & dive into the sand, then the guy puts his hand in the sand with a net right there & gets them out LOL.

THE FIGHT HAS ENDED w/the loser going in to a 20

Yellow Coris no longer an issue!!!!!!~!

Went to Aquarium Village today for some more crab & snails, and silversides!!

Well I got a small pack of Hikarii's Silversides, and it worked!! He just could not resist it...
I also had some help from my cleaner/skunk shrimps.;) They both went in to the bottle trap, and one got back out showing the coris who was intensely interested like never before that he could go in, and come back out.:lol2::lol2::lol2:

 Wooooo hoooooo!! I'll be joining you on the countdown!:frog:

Great!!!

Small/huge problem: I only have a regular 20 gallon tank for QT. So it is going to take me for ever to restock.

Considering doing one (1) tang. Bet you all know which one that is.:lmao:

Hmmmm... (while devilishly laughing) Purple tang? :lmao::lol2:

I can almost put my first born on it that you will wind up with more than 1 tang! lmao :lmao::frog:

Hope all is going well with the fish in QT as well as issues in the DT! Keep your head up, Awi, we're all rooting for you...

Nope!:lolspin: Powder Blue Tang!:p

You might be right, but that all depends on the tangs themselves. Not introducing 3 at a time due to the small QT. Therefor I am forced to introduce them one at a time, and this might prove to be harder then you can imagine with tangs being so darn territorial.

Fish in QT are doing well! The reef is currently being treated with Lanthanum Chloride for P04 that I am pretty certain is leaching from the rocks.

Wow...I'm really shocked...thought your purple tang was your favorite. lol

Good luck...please keep us updated... :)

Hahaha, yeah you had it wrong.lol I think what gave you that impression was that I love the color combo of the PBT, PT, and YT.;) Those guys make for a very nice color combo IMO.;)
My absolute favorites are:
PBT, Majestic Angel, Flame Angel, Radiant Wrasse, Golden Midas! After those, anything goes.;)
Tank is coming along nicely! I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.;) Cyano seems to be residing. I might still dose some "ChemiClean" this weekend. Corals that bleached due to the "Bayer Dip" are coloring up nicely. Still have a couple of stubborn ones. The two that started STNing that I cut back, and re-glued are doing good.;)

Love that you're still so cheerful/positive after everything that you've been through with your system recently...you're an inspiration, Awi!

I really hope that you're able to get your favorites back into your display without any difficulties. Cyano is a p.i.t.a. good luck with the treatment. Continue to keep your head up! I'm really glad to hear everything is on the rebound.

Thank you MGE!
Trust me not as easy as it sounds. I have this love hate relationship with my reef going on.lol
Just came home yesterday to a freaking huge hermit crab chomping on my Radiant Wrasse.
;(
I got 3 of those beast in an order from one of those online cuc stores.argggg They are going to have to be moved to the sump. A friend told me that they are not "reef safe", they will attack fish while they sleep.

You're welcome! Ha...you and me both and you know why! If it's not one d@mn thing lately...it's another! Ugh for both of us! lol

D@mn hermit...I would've taken him out and smashed him with a hammer...really! Poor wrasse. Someone was trying to talk me into getting one of them...thankfully I utilized google and decided against it.

Yeah, well I thought I was just ordering "large hermit crabs" not "Jumbo crabs"!
I am done ordering from John Maloney "ReefCleaners.org. This is the second time in about 4 years that I ordered from him with disastrous out come.:headwalls:

So tomorrow makes 8 weeks of running my reef fallow. I want to run it until May 30 which would make it 11 weeks, but the daily water changes is a pain due to that it is time to take care of the outdoors which in itself is time consuming. Not to mention the agony of the pain involved.
But will continue til May 30, 2013

Thank you sweetie! I am so very excited for the fish.;) Poor babies have been dealing with such tight quarters for so long.:( They are probably going to think they are back in the Ocean after being in a 20 gallon all this time. They have even had to deal with the darn "new tank syndrome". Daily 50% water changes with "Prime" being added, and really small feedings, and the water is still cloudy.
They were in "hypo" at 1.009 for 7 weeks. Started raising the salinity late last week getting them ready for the 1.025 that I keep the reef at.;)

You're welcome! I know, I'm sure you are and I bet they will have a blast when they're in the DT. Smile...you're in the home stretch! :celeb2::celeb1:

How's the DT coming along? Coral collection?

DT is doing remarkably well! Some small tufts of GHA here, and there. I'm hoping that the tangs will take care of that once they are in the DT.;)

Corals are doing well. They did get a little pale due to my not feeding regularly (I think) so I stepped up the feedings.;) Wish I could take pix that showed them off, but my photographic abilities compounded by the bow glass makes it impossible.:(

The QT has been going thru a bacterial bloom which is making nuts, and at the same time extremely nervous. It is as cloudy as it can get! I have been doing daily 50% water changes, and adding "Prime". I haven't seen the male Flame Wrasse in a couple of days now.:( Hoping that he is just hiding out.
Still have 2 more weeks before I can begin adding the fish to the DT. I was going to start with the tangs, but I will be starting with the wrasse.
