The Fish Bowl

I'm in Altamonte Srings for a few days, and as you recommended, today, I went to The Fish Bowl. If I lived local, I would probably do business there if today was a typical day at TFB. The store is very clean. The fish and corals looked extremely healthy. I found a beautiful 6-7 inch Vlamingi Tang, that would be in my QT on Saturday, if my 390 was finished. The gentleman that greeted me and answered my questions was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing that I did not like about TFB is that there are no prices on or near the livestock. Just one of the things that I like.

Mike,
That is a typical day there, its always clean and well run. Did they have the invert section up and running in the front? Last time I was there he was still building. Prices are on clipboards there but I agree that is a slight hassle. Seem like almost all the LFS do that though, I think they need to develop a system to put prices on the tank, or even right above them. Maybe dry erase board walls behind all the tanks that can be update:)

flfirefighter13, last time we were there about 1-2 weeks ago, they invert section was 1/2 done. Their new set up looks great and everyone there is friendly and quick to help you out!!

There are stores that do that already.

I agree the lists are hard because sometimes there is a fish in a tank that you may not know what it is. Like certain fairy wrasses and such. But sometimes you can get a good deal too if there is no price because the shop doesn't know what the fish is! Corals would be hard to price out - especially after a shipment comes in and there are hundreds in the tanks.

where is the fishbowl located at? never been there before and would love to take a ride this weekend and check some stuff out.

That's a great idea.

The invert section has water in it, and some of the tanks have livestock in them. It will be a great addition to the store.
Anja...sorry I didn't get to meet you this time.
