Hey guys- Just got my first frogfish on Sunday and he seems to be doing well in my RedSea Nano 20g. Already eaten 2 ghost shrimp and a small molly. He seems to swim a lot, but doesn't look nervous or sick at all. Can anyone help me identify him?

Just got my first frogfish on Sunday and he seems to be doing great. Will try to get some photos posted here so maybe someone can help me identify him. I'm thinking probably a Pictus from what I've seen online.

Just curious if anyone else has a “swimmer”? My guy is constantly swimming around, but he can easily hang at the bottom and doesn’t appear to have any bloat or air bubble issues. Anyone else experience this?

Hello guys,

I am putting together a displaytank at work and I have ordered 3 Antennarius sp.
I know these do best in a solitary, species-only kind of tank but I will try something different.
This tank contain live rock, macroalgea, Xenia and Briaerum.
I am also thinking about trying a couple of Angelfish in this tank, I doubt that the angelfish would bother the frogfish, and the angels should be way to big for the frogfish to eat.
But what about snails and hermitcrabs, do the frogfish eat these to?

The tank is 400gallons so there is plenty of room.

Best regards
Patric

I have a small warty frogfish .. he does not bother the hermits or snails. He has not bothered the tank mates (yet) as he grows he will likely not pass up a good opportunity. So far he is happy with ghost shrimp.

The lfs near my work just got in the biggest Frogfish I have ever seen. It has to be at least a foot across. I believe they're asking $400 for it. I thought I was looking at big live rock at first, it's huge!

I am back in the club. I picked this little guy up at petco the other day. Don't worry the pump was off and now has a screen on it.

I recently purchased a small warty frogfish. He was doing well on gut loaded ghost shrimp. Yours is quite small.. very nice. Good luck!

I was there last week and they sold it. It had to be the size of a dinner plate.
