Well in some places it is short but mostly its 1/4-1/2" in length, blows with the current and is brownish but may have a slight slight hint of green.

What is your cleanup crew?

Currently I have about 30-40 astreas if I had to take a guess and a dozen ceriths. I know I need to bump it up substantially, I would say 50-60 astreas and 80 ceriths, a few mexican turbos and possibly an urchin -- although they are bulldozers =D

I would go to 85-90 astrea's and 160-170 cerith's.
You will be amazed at how quick it dissappears.

Hrm now time to find a place I can get a good deal on. Wish a LFS around here would cut deals but they won't, most still want almost $1 each which puts the cost way to darn much.

Any ideas?

keyscritters has great prices but minimum orders.
If you don't have anyone to go in with you I would then use reeftopia.

I have had much better survival rates from keys kritters than I did from reeftopia.

Alright I will look into it, I'll check around locally to see if I can go in with a group purchase to make it cheaper.

FWIW my surival rates have been close to 100% from Reeftopia.

I've also heard great things about Keys Critters. If your getting a lot of Ceriths you probably want to go with Keys Critters....much cheaper.

One thing to note.
I've gotten Cerith's from both places and the ones from Keys Critters were tiny (about 1/4") compared to the Reeftopia ones (1/2"-3/4").

They take less food to survive.

Display = 600gal (96x48x30)...

Actual inside dimensions = 94.5x46.5x28.75 = 546.9gal

Total water volume will be close to 1k+ once finished...

If it were me, I would start out with 250 astrea's and 500 cerith's.
Ramp up or down from there but that would be a nice conservative starting point.
