I don,t have new photos... there isn't changes since last update, although some pieces have slightly improved their coloration but I have not managed to keep completely clean the sand yet.

Yes, Siporax use in reef tanks is extensive in Brasil, for example Carlinhos Moreno or Denadai tanks....but my results not was good with it, I'm using live rock only in sump now with better results.

i loved watching it develop over the past few years.

the yellow turbinaria is a very nice touch.. amongst many others..

I've seen siporax being employed in only a few reefs, i like the idea.

its funny because i seem to remember siporax coming into the hobby to go into wet/dry towers for nitrification because of its uniform porosity..
how ironic that it's now being employed for de nitrification because of the exact same characteristics..

how is that P. Hepatus so small if you've had it for 7 years?

This Hepatus was my first marine fish, ten years ago. He was very tiny when I bought it...only 1 inch long or less.

This photo was taked in November 2011...Now is 5 inches long aprox. It has grown little because I don´t feed too and above all my tanks are always clean and very little algae to graze.

Any news in the Iwagumi Reef....I recently added a school of 22 small chromis viridis, 1 inch long aprox.

And this beauty Zebrasoma Flavescens of 2 inches long:

I want to add 1 to 2 more surgeons, and maybe some other kind of shoal or if this is not possible, add some more chromis.
