Yes... I own over 40 angelfish spread throughout the house... I always say though it's not WHAT you mix... but HOW you mix... I hesitate to recommend to most what I do unless you have a lot of experience...
Thanks, John. So if I were to attempt a pairing, I should get a juvenile and when it starts changing to adult, get another juvenile?
John,
Incredible pics. Your diving thread is enviable. Do you have any tips on how to mix the Emperor and Queen? Everything I have read says they need a much bigger tank than I plan on building (96 or 108 x 30 x 30) to coexist.
Have you tested any of you angels with corals?
Hi John, do you still have your Colini's angelfish ?
Can you post a picture of them? It's by far my favorite fish...but can't find it anywhere!
Thanks
David
.................I'm sorry, I thought you said 900 gallon SPS upgrade............God I really shouldn't have had that third glass of wine with dinner tonight. :uhoh3:
John,
What has been your experience with Blueface? I'm torn right now between putting together an pair of BlueFace or Emperors. I had an Emperor for many years and I loved him but I'm not sure if I want to try something different this time.
Love your Townsend's and queen angels. Having grown up in FL and spent some family vacations in the Keys (one a collecting trip for our SW tank), I have a soft spot for them. One of my favorite childhood memories is of helping my mom and dad (which pretty much meant keeping my sister out of the way while they worked) catch an exquisite 1" juvenile queen angelfish in knee-deep water at Marathon Key. I miss collecting sometimes...so much fun!
Ahh, I remember that bucket photo you posted with all the Queens in it. That must have been an absolutely inspiring day!
Sincerely,
Matt
Hi again John, you probebly know when is the collecting season for the Colin's angel !! This fish is so hard to find !
Thanks
David
Hey Copps,
Any updates on your angels? More specifically your pair of emperors?
John, all I can say is that I drool over your collection of angels. After college, I plan to start making some head way in a decent angel collection (maybe not rare, but more so keeping pairs and harems of various angels). If I had a big enough tank now, I would be trying to get some large angel pairs, but don't have the budget now. I'll stay content with my C. deborae, if I can get the fish to eat, and some other dwarf angels.
Looking forward to seeing some picture updates from you!
