The most fishless place.

Well,

I'm here, in Iraq. The most fishless place I've ever been!

It's not too bad. It's not as hot here as Kuwait, that's for sure.

The no liquids on flights took care of my plan to smuggle a betta in my canteen. I'm not sure it would have made it anyway.

I miss a lot of things and my tanks aren't as important now as they were before. I know how we all get wrapped up in our aquariums, I know I did. But just take a minute to think about the other things that are important in your life once in a while too.

{jumping off soap box}

Everyone take care and I'll write more when I can. Sometimes it's hard to get on the internet here.

Hey Jack:D

Glad to hear you are doing ok. Sorry you couldn't get the fish over though. Stay safe and God bless!

Chris

Whaddup Jack. Sorry about that man. Search around...i bet they have something over there. Will be interesting to see what you find. Good to hear from you man. Stay safe.....head down, pants up sounds like a good starting point to me. Come home safely to your family. Should you need anything at all on this end, just let me know.

All kinds of good wishes from all of us at RC...we'll be thinking watery thoughts your direction. When it gets too brown to think straight, think of a coral reef.

Maybe that is their problem over there. They don't have any reef tanks for stress relief so they just go killing each other.

Stay safe and I hope your stay over there isn't too unbearable. Keep us posted when you can.

You probably could have smuggled the beta in a damp paper towel those things are like damsels. Be safe man.

Thanks all, for the encouragement.

This is going to be a long year, but it will pass.

I'll post as I can...

Again,

Thanks! The thoughts help more than I can say!
