WOW!!! When you gonna take me over there to see it in person!

Any time, Jason. Just shoot me a PM.

I'd like to host an event at some point, once things get established and the breeding system is up and running.

Very nice job. The kids are going to love it. What is your plan for vacations and summer?

Quick cycle?

Quick cycle?

This should help:

I put the fuge online on Monday. (Sandbed and chaeto)

I've been a good, patient boy and haven't even tested the water parameters until today.

Ammonia- 0ppm
Nitrites- 0 ppm
Trates- <5 ppm

What the heck? I know that the Tonga fusion rock was cured, but could we have had that quick of a cycle????

I'm getting some nice brown diatoms on the rock at this point. I'm thinking about throwing in the cleanup crew at the end of next week.

Thoughts? Could cured rock cycle within two weeks?

In my experience it definitely can happen in two weeks. You have a pretty large amount of water and I have no trouble believing you it was able to finish it's nitrogen cycle within that time period.

Let's get some more pictures!

That bad boy make a lot of racket Scott?

Not too bad. We actually have our team meetings in my room b/c everyone says it's so soothing. Having the equipment in a separate room really helps too.

That being said, I wouldn't enter my classroom if I had to take a leak. The sound of the moving water would make you cross your legs.

Tank looks great in person Scott! I loved being able to see the "behind the scenes" of it all. Great project! (The turtle was pretty cool too... :D )

Do you think you will be keeping the website more updated or RC? I didn't realize how much was going on until I visited.

get the message out, go to the website!

I've got a bag and a half of Kolorscape in there now. The Vortechs do a pretty good job of leaving some bare spots in some places and sand dunes in others. I'm hoping that will subside once the sand gets boogered up w/ bacteria, etc.

All fish survived the weekend. I was really nervous about leaving the anthias. They haven't started taking pellets yet, so I didn't want to set up the autofeeder to dump a bunch of food that wouldn't get eaten in there.

They're eating Cyclop-eeze, mysis, and my homemade frozen mix. I may start trying to sneak in some pellets in a few days.

Scott, I may want to introduce pellets at some point. What type would you recommend?
