how do you know tonight is a hatch night... did some of the larvae hatch out last night? (Eggs usually hatch on consecutive nights.)

8th evening usually, that's how long it took last time at least for me. All the ends are really silver.

well if i EVER get out your way ill make sure to get a hold of you ahead of time and personally take macro pictures/HD video of your sweet tank any day, that is since i cant count on going to marks house to do this ever with a kid on the way now especially haha

haha, yeah this is pretty late for you. I work nights so this is nothing, I'm up reading this forum until about 3am on weekends.

blast from the past- I remember collecting Amphiprion larvae on past Father's Days. I'm sure you're going to sleep in. Please post pix/video after some strong coffee if possible

i got a bunch ready to hatch also.thought it would have been last night but they are still there.do you guys have rotti cultures ready for when they hatch or do you know of another way to get them thru the initial feedings.TIA

you need to have roti and phyto cultures established prior to larvae hatchout. Everything must be ready prior to snagging larvae. There's a steep learning curve. Expect heavy losses during first grow out batches. Losses should decline with subsequent grow outs.

yea thats what i figured.oh well i guess i will stick to growing corals for now.I know i can do that with decent success and i cant stand any failures right now.LOL.these clown have been spawning every couple weeks for a while now so maybe some day i will do some research and set up some phyto and rotti culturing vessels and try to catch a batch.good luck with your hatches
