Looks like the folks running pellets get a darker brown skimmate. Nasty!

I too have a SeaClone 150 on my 40gal. It seems to work ok without any issues. I didn't mod it or anything. I got it about a week ago before I had seen any threads. I'm worried I got duped on this one. This is after 1 weeks worth of use. I got it thinking I could use it when I get a bigger tank.

I wish I would've seen this a few days ago before I cleaned mine it's currently soaking in a bucket in vinegar but it was some of the nastiest smelliest skimmate I've ever seen..

A week after my first post the SeaClone is now producing this. It seems to be working ok. I have heard they break down after 6 months, but I still trying to convince myself it wasn't a bad purchase. Does this skimmate look ok? I am new to skimmers.
