In what order would you recommend?Originally posted by The Grim Reefer
I would do 6 Blue Plus and 1 GE 6500K Daylight and 1 UVL Actinic white. Plenty of PAR and should bring out all colors.

I won about a 10th of what the wife lost
I would look to add fans so that the label ends of the fans are directly cooled by the fan(s) and that the air blowing in from the fans will cause air to circulate through out the canopy.

If it fires for 10 seconds then goes out it sounds like a bad ballast. If a lamp or connection is loose the ballast will turn off but that only takes a second or two.

Hey Grim,
I'm having trouble deciding between a 4 or 6 bulb light for a 75g 48"x18"x21" LPS tank. The stocking plans are a Hammer, Elegance, assorted Acans, Zoa's, and Ricordia. I will probably go with a 4" sand bed for a jawfish so the water level will not be that deep.
I like the looks of the 48" Aquaticlife T5 fixture but cannot find alot of feedback on them.

What would you recommend bulb/fixture wise?
I appreciate all the time you put into this thread, Thanks

So, Grim, in refence to the info in this article, it appears that all three bulbs have alot of purple in them...... I am getting kindof tired of the "purplish" look in bulbs and am wanting a little pink in my spectrum....which of those bulbs will help add pink without overdoing the purple???

I took your advice a while back and purchased a 48 inch t-5 6 bulb tek light from reef geeks. Last weekend my 80gal tank cracked. The only place locally that has tanks was very limited. I ended up getting a 150gal which is 48L 24W 30H. It is much deeper then my old tank was.
I really hate to have to replace the light as I just bought it maybe 4 months ago. Would this light be sufficient for a while if I keep most of my coral in the top half of the tank? What type of stuff would I be able to keep in the bottom if I did keep this light?
And my last question what type of light would you suggest for this tank setup?

Alright last question since I'm pulling the trigger and ordering the ATI 6x54w SunPower tomorrow morning. Which bulbs to get ahhhhhhhhh.
I like a little blue (not overpowering) and a good 10000k look while all lights are running (not super washed out white) I'm new to this and want to try to get it right the first or second time if possible . . here's what I'm thinking.
ATI Blue Plus
ATI AquaBlue Special
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500k
UVL 10000k AquaSun
ATI Blue Plus
-OR-
ATI Blue Plus
ATI 10000k AquaSun
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500k
UVL 10000k AquaSun
ATI Blue Plus
- OR -
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500k
UVL 10000k AquaSun
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
OH MY GOD seriously my head is spinning, I have no idea and every time I try to figure something out I get more confused and since I'm new I really have no idea what these combos would look like.
PLEASE HELP AND I THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
