The Powermodule puts out about 10% more PAR. That is the only difference has far as performance. The reflectors and ballasts are the exact same.

Get the Sunpower and save the money for some sweet corals!

Thanks rtparty  but I think i'm going towards the Powermodule... I don't know if the 10% is worth it but I rather buy the powermodule than buying the sunpower, not being happy and having to buy later the powermodule :hammer:

I have a Sunpower over my 40 gallon breeder and bleached out SPS within 2 days of switching over from a 150W MH running a Phoenix 14k. It was an ORA Pearlberry and it was about 8 inches from the MH. It was about 15 inches from the Sunpower.

My 96w Sunpower puts out a TON of light. Covers my tank very nicely and I have SPS on the very edge of my tank that is growing nicely.

Just my experience using the Sunpower.

Thanks! But what about a 90g 24"tall? I have a minimalist scape so I'll have tons of SPS's on the bottom  That's why I rather go with the powermodule.. but I don't know :sad2: LOL I also want to buy the profilux dosing pumps so the sunpower is a good option.

Thanks.

Sorry for the intrusion in 3D, and for the bad English ....
I have some advice from you on my next
lighting?
In a few days will my new ceiling of Korallen-Zucht Coral Light-
T5, I would immediately mount the best possible combination T5.
According to you which combination can give me better results?
I was thinking of a blupus aquabluspezial and 5 ... what do you think?
Hello and thank you all ... Andrea

i want to try a different bulb setup on my tank...

i have the bulbs already, and they are still good, just want to mix it up a little :)

i am running 2 aquaticlife fixtures.. one is 4x39W T5HO, and the other is 2x39W t5HO for a total of 6x39W...

i would like to run the 4 lamp fixture in the front b/c that is where my timer and clock are, the second 2 bulb fixutre is just a plain fixture with the switch on the side...

here are the bulbs i have:
3x ATI blue+
1x GE 6500k
1x ATI aquablue special
1x UVL 75/25

i also have the stock bulbs that came with both fixtures...so i have more blues, and 10000k bulbs if i want to switch out for more blue.

the tank is mainly zoas, some lps, and 2 sps...
i want my zoas to glow :) and grow well!! ;)

thanks so much!!

I am not sure I understand your question.

How many bulbs so you have?

It looks to me like 10. You want 5 Blue Plus and 5 Aquablue?

I wouldn't go that direction if I were you. I would run 6 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Aquablue and 2 KZ Fiji Purple.

Hope I answered your question.

After reading the T5 thread a few months back ( thank you GR), I ended up with:

F to B

ATI B+
UV Super Act
ATI B+
UV Super Act
ATI B+
GE Ecolux (6500 K I think)

This is ok, but a little washed out and not a lot of "POP".
I notice now there are not a lot of recommendations for true actinics at 420nm?
Any suggestions for better color rendition and brilliance would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you want your Zoas to pop I would probably go with the 3 Blue Plus, 1 of the original blues, the UVL 75/25 and the Aquablue. It will be a blue tank so if you want a little less blue then throw the GE in for the Aquablue and then if that doesn't work, put the Aquablue in place of the original blue.

Hope that made sense.

ATI B+
KZ Purple
ATI B+
AquaBlue 12000K
ATI B+
ATI B+ or AquaBlue 12000K (ATI B+ gives a bluer look)

I have a question that maybe you could help me answer:

would 48" 6x54W ATI SunPower T5 High-Output Fixture be sufficient for a mixed tank that is 2x2x4? I would be happy with placing any SPS on the very top of my live rock.

Thank you very much!

Gads I can't believe how slow the site has been running.

Move the GE in one or two slots and replace one of those actinics for a UVL Actinic White or KZ Fiji Purple.

Will a sunpower be enough for a 90g 24"tall, FULL of SPS's??? I have a minimalist scape so mostly of the SPS's will be on the bottom  or should I just go with the powermodule (which is twice the price of the sunpower)?

Thanks!

tank is mixed reef with clam and anemone. 36l 24w 25deep.
run two t5 fixtures. one 4bulb and one 2bulb total 6bulbs.
what would be the best bulb config. please and thanks
