The thrill of the build!

Reefer Who needs Help!!!
I know I'm not the only one here who loves the build as much as the finished product. I love the thrill of hunting down equipment and putting it all together. Each time I learn even more and find better ways to do something.

My favorite parts
Looking for the perfect tank
Picking out choice live rock
Planning the water flow
Building the sumps and top off

So tell me what's you favorite part?

The end product. When it preforms and produces what you planned. That's my favorite part. Also my least favorite part. Because sometimes it doesn't turn out how you envisioned it. Or it means your done and it's now time to just sit and watch it. Knowing the less you fiddle with it the better it will turn out.

Mine would have to be finding the tank, because I usually just set it up with whatever I have lying around. That and the initial set up.

I like all of it. I like planning something out, and seeing it to fruition. I love how much I learn.

I don't like any of it, the stress and anxiety that goes with it. Only thing I love is the end results, only if everything goes as planned.

Wow. Then why bother? I have enough stress to deal with.

Why Bother? My last build, my house was a construction zone, top it off it was a tank transfer from a 180 to a 300. Having a 300 gallon stock tank sitting in the family room for weeks was not fun at all, and all the bickering from the wifey, was not a joy. Countless visits to hardware store cause of missing items. Waiting for things to arrive, no not having it. I don't think everyone is all smiles when they're working on their new build. At least my last build was not fun at all. Don't get me wrong building my nano was fun, it was not physically demanding. Like I said the end results... is what I love most.

Could be my ADHD. But I usually loose interest in something after the initial projecting is over.

Yeah, the beginning stages = instant gratification... Corals frags = slower than watching paint dry... Coping method = buy more corals/equipment lol..

With that said, enjoy the instant gratification while it lasts!
