and Im wondering if there is a better way to kill vermitid snails. The numbers are growing and they are making my small frags all fussy.

Could Intercepter, in theory, kill vermitid snails? Has anyone experienced this after dosing Intercepter? I just wanna :blown: and :fun2: them

i've interceptor'd my tank and still have the dreaded vermitids!

Get a long bamboo skewer and stick it in the hole after breaking off the tube. Its the only method thats worked for me so far.

well Ive been using long stainless tweezers and a hypodermic needle to kill them but its a pain when they are on the plug of that not so well glues down frag. Oh well seems like there is no getting out of this one. Yet I have been eyeing some nice fiji branch.... maybe, just maybe...

They are snails (molluscs) so Interceptor shouldn't kill them. I bet Ivermectin would though (it at least kills chitons) - but don't use that in a whole-tank treatment (it's meant for dips only).

You could also get a larger gauge needle and inject the kalk paste into them - or, if you are quick and can drizzle it into the tube before they shut the operculum...

I also sometimes just cut them out with the frag cutters too...

+1 I just superglue them shut or pop on a small ball of epoxy and then just snap it off in a week or twos time. Its worked for me.
