I have 8 (last count) peppermint in my 120. No problems with LPS, polyps, nada. They are pretty well behaved.

malnutriton before getting the peppermint, or while it is in your the tank, can possibly determine their aggressiveness in taking an oppurtunity to get food. i normally feed a lot in my tank, i have never had problems with peppermint shrimp, but i got a starved moray eel from petco and it is so aggressive to get food it goes for my fingers constantly, even though i am feeding it almost every other day which is over the reccomendation.
just a thought from experience....

That's insane. What size tank you have him in?

30gallon
i have had him since he was 4.5 inches. now he is 8" and since he is becoming so agressive i am trading and getting some corals for him
his aggressiveness continuously went up since day one of having him

i dont have peppermint shrimp anymore, they wouldnt last 30 seconds in the tank! but maybe now since hes gone i can get some again with a nice skunk cleaner =)
