I asked the same question at the top of the first page and it was answered immediately, look at the item description on the AS website.

The AS website description is vague it does not answer what speed the pulse is min to max.

We need specs, is that too much to ask of Ecotech ?

While I know that this post is undoubtedly going to result in a very long thread with numerous questions, I ask that everyone be patient. We will answer the most pertinent questions involving the upgrade process itself as quickly as possible however we will not be able to answer as effectively specific details about the functionality of the driver. The reason is we are busy with this project, other projects, and of course MACNA. I ask that everyone be considerate of this when asking questions.

As said above and in our first post on this subject, we are extremely busy, so forgive us for not being on top of every question that is asked on this thread. To answer the question about pulsing, the pumps will pulse between an absolute minimum speed and whatever the maximum is set to on the driver, so the pumps will be quite functional on smaller tanks. I am pulsing one on my 30gal cube as we speak.

it probably depends 100% on how the first round goes...

For those of you that are part of the first batch of controllers that don't have a VorTech yet, when are you going to buy your pumps? It seems like if you wait too long, you may not be able to get your rebate because you don't have the original driver in hand to send back.

why do you want to lock the discussion? Eco-Tech will post a locked thread when they are ready, and for the time being, I would like to see comments by people when they do get them and what their experiences are with them.

Tim,

What about LFS, I bought mine from my LFS and he has probley sold more of these units for you then most other venders.

Will the First batch go to AS or will you distribute the first batch to other resellers like my LFS.

Are you no longer using IceCap for distrubution or something?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but actually, I think those of us that have to wait for the new production batches are in a better position. As much as I would like to be first in line with a new technology, it isn't always all its cracked up to be. For those of you that recall, the initial batches of these pumps had their share of issues.

Personally, I would like to get some feedback from the initial users before purchasing the upgrades. I have no doubt they will work, however, if there are any bugs, I really don't want the hassle. Also, I would suggest to those out there that do get the upgrade, you might want to hold onto at least 1 old driver should a problem arise. Definitely worth the $50.

and do another thread when the 2nd batch arrives getting frustrating

that would actually make things less frustrating!

wouldn't have to keep checking in (since I am Subscribed to this tread) ever time this thread is updated with bs. Would have to check in only once and that would be when they update the locked thread saying its available again.

Thank You.

LOL.....I was thinking the same thing :) My poor friend bought two of them when they first came out and he had so much trouble with them he went with Tunze 6100 on his new tank buildout. I got mine about 8 months later and have now where near the problems he had. The support from IceCap has been great for me though when i did have a issue or quistion :)

i am worried that the controller could have problems but i am an early adopter i got my 6025 nano streams the day they came out and i dont regret it even though they did need replacement a couple months later. i have to have the new stuff.

we all feel your pain as most of us have the bug!! This hobby can be addicting and take over!

then unsubscribe.

they aren't going to say a word about the next round until at the very earliest a week or two or three after the first round gets out in the wild, which is 2ish weeks from now. they are waiting to get back real world feedback from real world users before they commit to another factory run with the current design. otherwise they would have already placed the order with the factory for the second run due to all the obvious demand and would already have an expected date.

just relax. we've waited this long. what's a bit more.

manderx, you're a bit confused as I have no problem waiting, I am not the one who is posting about being frustrated. I was just trying to help explain to the dude what the locked thread would be for, backing up AS & Ecotech.

Kindest Regards ;)
