I don't know why people like feed mode so much, as I've never found it beneficial to my reef. When I pour in the food each night, I allow the pumps to blast it all over the reef. The fish are in hot pursuit, and all my corals have the opportunity to capture floating particles in their polyps. What I always do is turn off the return pump so the food stays in the reef and not down in my sump. With this method, everything gets a meal, including my BTAs.

Not if you cared about your warranty, that's for sure

Tim, how are you guys tracking the extended 1 year warranty for people purchasing this upgrade? Do we get something in writing?

If the driver shuts down to "feed mode", then there is no need/reason to try to hack a switch into the cablesBut that still doesn't answer the question for those of us with larger tanks and potentially mutliple master/slave driver networks. And going to each one is not always a good option.. I would hate to think that I will continue to need to crawl under our stand to unplug wires, etc (or crawl to reach a driver on each "network" to enable feed mode) every time I need to do some maintenance in our tank
Not all of our drivers are necesarily easily accessbile, such is an issue with larger tanks
