Theiling Rollermat noise

I've just purchased a roller mat and on the output there is a lot of noise from bubbles which makes it unbearable to use.

Looking at methods of overflows, I have tried the reverse durso, added a T piece with air hole and also drilled an air hole in the elbow as well as reducing the flow to 1500 litres per hour.

I know these units are fairly uncommon, but if anyone has experience with them I'd appreciate the insight!

i know this is an old post, but thought i might as well still respond.

had the same problem when i first installed it, had to dial down the flow using a gate valve and it stopped all the micro bubbles and horrible noise down to a point where i can not even hear it anymore. its 100% silent and works perfectly.
