theres a little white dot on my fish

i got a x-mas wrass a couple days ago and it has a little whit dot on his rear fin. im pritty sure its not ich cus its only one spot and it seems to be on the suface, it sticks out but is rounded. kinda looks like a little grain of sand. if it is a parasite my gess would be it's an independent one.

Sounds like it could easily be ich. Can you post a pic? What is an "independent parasite"?

im pretty certain its not ich because it would be allover the fish. also its not like its embedded in the scales of the fish its more of the sufrace. what i meant by independent parasite was that its something similar to a isopod. something that dosent reproduce like ich and dosent spred to other fish without contact. but im still gessing

ill try to take sum more pics my last ones were terrible its hard to get something that small on a fish that avoids commin close enuff to let you take a pic

set up a QT tank like 10g and use cupramine for 14days all itch will be gone. it works on my fish. all fish are back to normal now.
