Thinking about getting an blue face angel adult

Hi I have 150 reef tank. Mostly softy. Just a few frospawn. I have zoo, ricordia, and leather. Do you think that I can get this fish? is about 7 inches in lenght. It looks really really nice. Will they eat my zoo? And what kind of food do they eat?

The BF is one of the safer large angels but a 7" one is very likely liable to sample your LPS and zoo's at least. i the wild they eat sponges, tunicates and other reef encrusting inverts. In an aquarium they may sample everything and eat the stuff they like.

You have to get all large angels as juvies. I passed up on one that was 5" for this reason. I've been thinking about a 2" Goldflake these last few weeks but haven't yet been able to talk myself into the $400 price tag.

I was also thinking of a blue face for my reef. And now that my rabbit fish cleaned me out of zoos

I can live without zoos and some LPS but how are the BFs with clams, I got to have clams!

My blueface was 7"-8" and destroyed green star polyps, zoos, mushrooms, he would even pick at a large green carpet anemone. I don't think clams are safe with a BF. Even my goldflake at clams. But some goldflakes don't.

I have a BF in my reef, she eats almost all the brain type LPS and sponges but has not touched the clams, zo's, frogspawn, torch, hammer or shrooms...yet..
