Thinking about getting out of the hobby

You can't say the company name becuase they got kicked off of RC about 4 years ago I heard. Anyway they now offer the Typhoon III extreme with a 150GPD membrane, so I am glad I ordered mine 2 days ago and got the 75GPD membrane. Better removal of the bad stuff!!

Nope, this is a brand new 150GPD membrane. However, it supposdly has the same rejection rate as the 75, so I don't know if I missed out or not.

The 75 is listed at 98%
100 is at 90%
and 150 at 98%

yep I'd link the site to show the info on the new membrane but of course I can't.

The membrane is custom rolled for a1rwaterice, but the water pressure requirement is a tad higher (65psi) than the 75gpd membranes (55psi).

Anyone else here interested in Guns? I am thinking about re-opening my gun site/forum. seeing if anyone would be interested.

By guns do you mean big beefy mens' huge bicepts? If so, I'm still out...
:smokin:
I have given thought to buying a pistol for protection of my family - but, although I have nothing against firearms, I've never owned one. It has always been fun shooting clay with my father in-law, though.

I used to skeet shoot and target shoot ARs and pistols. I got out of guns and sold them all actually. I am looking at taking a CCW course and getting back into handguns.

lol, no 426 today... Its just a 318 30 over, 10:1 compression... it will do the trick. I want to keep it streetable...

a .500 is entirely too large for someone to have just to have.

i like my ruger p95. 9mm, cheap enough to shoot whenever really, enough power to put some hurt on, and heavy enough without feeling like my roommates walther.

for personal protection, it really doesnt matter as long as youre comfortable with it. just about any gun looks real big from the barrel end.

honestly what attacks you?

maybe you live a far more dangerous lifestyle than i do.

and, youre a damn lot more likely to actually hit something with a firearm you can handle. have you ever shot a .500?

Yeah, I'd recommend a shotgun for in home protection. A Kahr P9, or glock 26 for CCW or if you can afford almost a 2k price tag a HK P7. And the best overall gun if you can afford one, Sig Arms!

Thats coming from a guy who has a Beretta 96 too.

SIG is overated!! Buy a Kimber 1911!! Glocks are old school, if you want a gun like that buy the Springfield XD! Much better gun!! And it comes with more stuff!! HK is still a Slick machine!!

Sig has one of the smoothest trigger pulls I have ever felt. I personally do not like glocks myself. I've looked at the XD but did not like them either. I think the next gun I will buy will be either a Kahr P9 or a glock 26 though. I'm going to go check both of those out for a good ccw gun.

yes i have shot a 500 because i have one i was actually just joking about it but i guess everyone here is to serious about everything in the world pardon the @@@@ out of me guess I should just stay out of the topic have a great day

you could go with a shotgun
