Thinking of buying a ProfiLux Plus II ex.

I am thinking of buying a ProfiLux Plus II ex.

My biggest thing I am not clear on is the network part.
I want to have my computer connected to it 24/7 through RJ45 connection, and have the ability to monitor it on the web.

Also I want to be able to store my data points on my computer automatically, so i can create a data base of information.

Can the ProfiLux Plus II ex do this and what do i need to buy or do I need to wait for the ProfiLux Plus III?

Hi

You can already monitor and control the ProfiLux over the web you just need the GHL LAN or WLAN card and have the software loaded to the computer you wish to use for control, this gives you full access and control just as if you were at home.

The Profilux already comes with data logging and this is to be expanded further with the launch of the PIII

In reagrds to waiting, well if you purchase a PII or PIIEX now you will get a existing user discount on the PIII upgrade kit so by buying now you will save money on the PIII

So i can save my data log in my computer, automatically?
I want to see data I collected 1 year ago if i desire.

What would save me more;

1) Buy Profilux II and upgrade later.
2) Buy Profilux III.

the profilux will store data on request at present, you then upload to an external source, there are some expamples here already on the forum, I think the pTC review has a good example.

The PIII will have far superior data logging GHL are aiming to make this a huge feature.

You will save by buying now and upgrading as there will not be discounts offered for the PIII being a new product.

There is a deal on right now for both PII and PIIEx kits so double saving

I am trying to find the GHL LAN and they seem to be out of stock everywhere I go.
Is there a problem with them?
Also I noticed they want $187 for them, why are they so expensive?
I don't see how buying the Profilux II is a great deal, going to need buy the LAN card that I don't need for Profilux III.

You are sounding like RKE people, promises on futures updates.
Keep in mind your asking me to spend $1000 now and spend more for something in the future that may or may not happen.

Any rough dates? Its going to be 6 month soon since you started on the Profilux III advertisement.

I am sorry if it sounds like that, not at all. We do not make promises we do not keep.

In regards to the LAN card, we have 18 on stock right now, one could be sent with your shipment from any dealer, they all have stock. Please let me know where you are looking and I will get the inventory updated.

The cost of the LAN card is due to the fact of the high component set it uses, nothing is used with GHL that has not got fantastic pedigree, reliabilty and flawless opteration is the key to this brand.

We hope to have the demo unit at Macna, GHL have put together a development team to speed the process up also.

We do not want to fall into the trap that possibly others did by giving a date that never happens or continues to get delayed. But I can say it will happen this year but not before the end of summer.
