It's a Cryptochiridae also commonly known as the gall crab. They eat a variety of things include the coral mucus, anything that trap by filter feed and algae from the area around the hole where they keep open. They don't really harm the coral (and will die without it) but most people consider them pest because they do irritate the coral a bit (and look "ugly").

I swear the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the picture was "omg, giant underwater tick, kill it." You can tell I've seen too many ticks lately.
