So, I've got a puffer in my tank. Long story short, it was a gift. Right now I've got a puffer, a Perc, and a Sailfin.

Any ideas for additional fish? I really wanted some Cardinals, but will he gulp them down? Should I go for Chromis instead?

And should I even risk a Goby or Blenny?

My tank is a 72 with about 50# of LR (gonna get more shortly), a sump with wet/dry (about 1/4 of Bio-Balls, takin em out), and a new Pro-Clear Aquatics which has been going crazy.

Oh, and gettin rid of the puffer isn't an option becuase....well...I sorta like him :D and he hasn't hurt a thing yet.

Thanks guys and gals, -Ross

I know, and if he chomps any coral I put in then he's gone. But I can't blame him if I put a small fish in and he gulps it down...So thats why I'm wondering what I can put in. -Ross

He will eventually eat your corals and any fish that is small enough to fit in his mouth. I wouldn't put any other fish in with him....he's going to get big and need pretty much the whole tank.

sorry, although i know this is the "reef fish" forum, i assumed he had a fowlr since he made no mention of corals.

How about a tusk or maybe a nice fairy wrasse...or a dwarf angel or even a swallowtail angel?

I think most of the people who replied just read the parts of the inital post that they wanted! HE KNOWS HE IS TAKING A RISK!!!! He Looking for Other reef safe fish that The puffer wont eat! simple as that! I don't think a trigger would be a good idea since puffers can get stresssed out easily. I had a blue throat and she was all over the tank...

So just reply with options not telling him what he is doing is wrong! geez!!
