This RBTA is bleached, right??

My LFS says that this RBTA is from a very reputable supplier and that this is the natural coloring. He got 4 of these and says that he has another that has stayed the same color for a month.

I'm assuming that this guy is most definitely bleached, unless there is truly a color variation that I've never seen before. The fact is, I love the look of bleached RBTA's. Unfortunately, it's not the sign of a healthy anemone :/

I would say it is bleached you should never be able to see through the tenticals

Give it time, with proper lighting and feeding it will color up nicely

Yes, it is bleached but not totally so under good lighting it will color up quickly. If it were me I would supplement with target feedings but many just let them catch what they can from the tank feedings. It's pretty small so target feeding (after it has time to acclimate) will certainly help it bulk up a little. Very pretty anem by the way, it will be a beauty when it gets its color back.

I was very tempted to buy this one, but being that it's bleached, I don't know what color variant it's going to have. At RBTA prices, it's hard to spend the money when you don't know if it's gonna be pink, maroon, brown, etc..

from the looks of that pic i am buessing a mix of green near the mouth and red tenticals, the same like mine. but the tips alone will tell you it's a RBTA

I would buy it for $15 at the most

No lfs is going to sell a rbta for that cheap in less its at the brink of death. That one is bleached but would color up nicely in a few weeks its not in that bad of shape. I'd still give $50 for it. Let us know if you get it.

The LFS wants $60. I don't think I want to get it if I don't know what color it's gonna end up being. Like I mentioned before, I actually like the color when they're bleached. I'm curious what the lightest color variation of a RBTA is without being bleached..

I've got a perfectly healthy non bleached one that was a medium pink and light green then i've got one thats blood red and dark green.

I'm guessing it would look like mine but with maybe a little more green. Mines a little more darker pink than the pics showing it to be. the pic makes it look a little orange
