thoughts on kessil A150 Led...

Here are some images of the Kessil A150w over my 40 breeder. The pics look much bluer than they really are.

Make sure you check the video out at the bottom....

If anyone is curious on what the 10k Sky blue looks like. I can say that it's nearly identical to a 150w 14k DE Phoenix bulb on a magnetic ballast. I have each light on the same tank and I can't tell the difference between the two.

Great description... just wondering what the difference is between the 250 and 150 DE Phoenix, if any. The phoenix 250 DE is a great looking bulb on an electronic ballast. I've never seen one on a magnetic ballast...

Two Kessils a150w Ocean Blue over my 75g rimless. Been running for about 6 months now. I started with one RBT and now have 4. My bubble has exploded even larger than what it was in the pic. It's crazy. Love the look and shimmer. I have however bleached a couple of corals (plate, some frogspawn heads, mushrooms). I want to add a third light (150w sky blue) in the center to have some controllability of light intensity and color during the photoperiod.

Personally I like the 10k, looks very natural and very similar to a 14k phoenix. The 20ks were too blue for my taste.

So are you only using the deep ocean blue on your tank? How does the color look?

It is by far the Best A150

If you have ever been to a Frag Swap you will know how it looks.

I call the color "Frag Swap Blue"

It is my favorite color in the whole world.

It makes all your corals "Glow in the Dark"

The downside is your fish will look terrible.

My Clownfish and damsels are black when normally they would be blue and orange/white.

But that tank is for corals.

I would never ever use LED on my main tank. I only use T5's there so the fish look good. At night I do use Blue Stunner Strips to make the corals in my main tank glow.

I just bought a Sky Blue yesterday any thoughts about that unit not sure which one I bought I want to use it over my coral quarantine tank.

If I mix 1 ocean blue and 1 sky blue for 28x28x17 maintank, is this enough for SPS mixed? For now I have 1 blue ocean and decided to add 1 a150 to increase the intensity of the light and eliminate shadows in the corner area.
