Possible bacterial infection?

If bacterial, then use Melafix?

Maybe a general antibiotic would work if it is bacterial. Erythro or Tetracycline.

Not sure ... looks like a minor injury and possible bacterial infection. If so odds are good the fish's own imune system will fix.

Thanks for the replies. It appears to be getting worse, so I have moved her out of my QT and into the reef, with much better water quality, and flow. Hopefully that will help. If not, it's back into the QT, with some antibiotic.

Any other thoughts?

I guess I missed the part where you already had the fish in QT. In the future .. once you have a fish in the QT leave it there and treat it .. getting the fish into the QT is the hard part.

Also .. maintaining water quality in a small QT is a no brainer .. just takes water chagnes.
