This Stand could hold 20 of these tanks.I built it in 1977 when I was going to machinest school.2" hex for the tank to sit on and 2" round stock for the legs.Over the years it got that suface rust on it when I moved the angels up to a larger tank and took the 55gal that it was made for and I use it as a frag tank because of the scatches.30years is a long time.Check out the Stainded glass I did on it.Still have it,just have to solder it back together.;)

mickey57,
I think a couple of people were commenting on the apparent bow at the bottom of the tank in the pic. It is the effect of a wide angle lense, correct?

Hey,

Too bad my camera is broken because my tank is SUPER-GHETTO. When I assembled the tank my budget was tight so I bought a couple small pieces of live rock and made the rest out of lego blocks :)

Holy crap Mickey! That pic scared me! BTW, hey from an Orange Park peep!

I thought your stand was made of wood at first, due to the surface rust. If it was wood, and that size, you would surely get some kind of anti-gravity award!

Hehe, when I was real little we lived on Collins, just across blanding from where you are, maybe .5 miles from the Toyota dealer. I did most of my "growing up" on Fleming Island, State Rd 220, about 1/2 mile from Whitey's Fish Camp.

My grandmother lives out near you, on Jaguar Drive, kinda near 103rd.

You small time ghetto tank builders. For a hood I have the VHO hang sitting on top of the tank. I have my MH pendant hanging from a bathroom shelf with 2 of the shelves removed so there is room for the light. The hood itself is a piece of metal that was for my jeep bikini top that is 4ft long and to that I have a white towel clothes pinned to block the light. I have 2 refugiums tied to it, a 5 ga bucket with a hose coming out to a float valve for top off and a 30 ga garbage can with a pump and another float valve on the other end. I put my aqua C remora on the sump just sitting over the top of it and my tank is acrylic and 20 years old. Its so scratched I don't know if its crystalizing or not! Where is my camera, time to roast this beeeaaahtch!
