Three-Eyed Fighting Conch

They Got My Number
Noticed yesterday that my Fighting Conch had grown a third eye. Not sure how long it has been there, but thought it was pretty neat. No idea whether it's functional or not, but maybe an evolutionary mutation to be able to literally "look over it's shoulder"? Who knows, I thought it was pretty cool either way:

Maybe his eye was damaged and he was trying to regenerate? Lizards can get two tails if they take a certain kind of damage.
Or maybe it's some sort of weird cancer...

That's actually an interesting idea.
Know anyone with a Geiger counter? See if it's radioactive.

A catfish caught around that area had an extra lower jaw. Actually, several did.

That eye is for watching for hermits ttyen to take his shell while he uses the other two too see what its eating. In all seriousness I wonder how often this happens

Totally forgot about this thread! The 3-eye-guy is still doing well. Still has all three eyes too!
