Never seen 'em before, but there's a trio on DD.

If someone here buys 'em, post up!

What are these guys like? Never seen 'em before.

I've got 4 and the picture on DD doesn't do them justice once they have settled in. They are stunning. They are ususally out in the open with a good temperment and dont get too big. an excellent addition. Snorvich has a group of 11 or 8 I believe... There are some threads out there, just do a search.

They are also known as Resplendent Anthias. This is about the 4th or 5th trio they've sold in the past couple of weeks. I bought a set of females a few weeks ago along with a non-DiversDen male and the 4 of them are doing wonderfully and looking gorgeous.

interesting indeed. I'm not going to buy them but I was curious. I have 5 lyretails now that are still a bit shy around feeding time due to the turkey baster (almost a week in the tank) but they're beautiful. Definitely will want more anthias in the future once I get the wrasses I want.

Yes, I (now) have a group of 18 as I moved the ones from my kitchen tank into my family room tank; they are indeed gorgeous, peaceful and easy to care for. The group has split with a male in each group. They sort of tend to hang together around each male on different sides of the tank. Now in the kitchen, I have a group of Carberryi Anthias (Nemanthias carberryi) which my wife loves. They will eat anything I put in the tank, hang somewhat together, and are gorgeous. This is thanks to Peter who put me onto these. My only concern here is keeping up their coloration.

WOW 18! that is awesome Steve. I know how much you hate pictures but i'd love to see some shots of a big group like that. I want to add more but I'm catching the wrasse bug and i cant figure out how the tank will look with a big group of anthias plus many various wrasses... I have the 4 Resplendens now and want to add 6 more. But I just placed an order for some healthy eating ventralis so I need to get them settled in first!

Now come on with some pics steve!

For me the problem with pictures is that my eyesight is no longer as sharp as it was so taking them is problematic. Having taken a large number of underwater images in my past life, I just cannot bring myself to produce "crap". Getting older has its disadvantages. Sorry Ryan.
