Tigahboy's 35g

Tigahboy,

I'm kinda new to RC and just found your thread. All I can say is 'WOW!" You have the best array of color in your tank that I have ever seen. I'm just getting ready to switch from a 75g reef to a 180 and I'm inspired by your progress. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Ron!

I was having trouble keeping my acan happy with all the crazy flow around my rockwork. The vortech created like a cyclone around my rocks. I lost a few and I sold others. I was going to sell all so I could crank up my vortech, but decided to keep just 4 of the nicer ones. I moved them into a very low flow area and moved the dendro over. I'll post an updated FTS soon.

Added some new equipment.

Switched out my MJ1200 on my ATO with an aqualifter. I do feel safer now.

Also added a ZooMed 501 turtle filter to run my chemipure. The chemipure fit perfectly. Thanks for the recommendation, mew!

Tigahboy, any updates? Last FTS was beautiful, as always.

I strongly suspect your acans had more trouble with your light, than anything. Aren't they a deeper lagoon coral? Do you still keep any?

Tigahboy, where do you find anemone mushrooms like that? I can't seem to find any from searching online. I might not be looking in the right places. Are the Rhodactis, Actinodiscus, or something else?

I moved my four remaining aussie acans into a very low flow and low light area. You can see them towards the center in my latest FTS up there. Hopefully this will keep them happy. Crossing my fingers.

It's bizarre b/c everything else is thriving and my params are all in check. Just can't keep the aussie acans happy.

S. Tapetum (larger variant). I got mine from local reefers. They are very difficult to find otherwise.

Very nice tank. I remember following several of your tanks at NR 3-4 years ago :) Glad you're back in the hobby!
