You should really consider treating your tank for those Planaria. that is a pretty bad infestation. I would hate to see something to happen to the Angel if those all released toxins...

and by treat you should suck them out and get them under control before even thinking about something like Flatworm Exit.

fish looks good though!

Hey Matt, the tigerpyge looks so sweet, thanks for sharing the pics and I cant wait to see the video. Don't freak out about the planaria but be mindful of what they can do if they release their toxin.

Because of what can happen when planaria die is the precise reason I would do nothing about them right now. Focus on acclimating your new fish. Beautiful specimen. GL with it.

thanks! and i am going to siphon them out soon. i haven't really worried about them because when i move everything to the new tank i am not using any of the LR and all corals are going to be dipped. i was going to do FW dips for the corals but is there something better to use? she is very active and picking at the rocks.

coralite-i sent you an email for the vid. thanks!

Looks unreal Matt...The stripes just pop off of the fish's back.

I would suggest getting that fish on NLS pellets as soon as you can...I would also get him on a diet of the thera A pellets to help any internal parasites that may be present.

Good luck and keep the pictures coming.

i am already feeding thera A pellets. i have the small and large pellets. i am going to feed those for a while soaked in garlic or selcon. could the angel be eating the planaria? maybe it's just me but i've noticed less of them since she's been picking at the rocks.

Yes the angel most definitely could be eating the planeria. It will pick at the rocks 24/7 and will more than likely take down a lot of you coral with it...but who cares about the coral when you have that fish in the tank!

Good job on the soaking with selcon and garlic...that is a classic trick to keeping angels fat and healthy

thanks. =] and i'm surprised that it hasn't picked at my corals yet. but this fish can pick at whatever coral it wants to ha. i can't wait until i put her in the 120. it's going to be awesome.

Word of advice Matt...DO NOT MOVE the angel to the 120 right after it is up and running. Give it a month or 2 to mature and then move it. Your tank will suffice for a while.

i was going to keep it going for a few weeks but then i have to take it down because a lot of the equipment from my 34g are going onto my 120g. i am using cured LR and water from a diff. system so i don't think i'm going to have much of a cycle. and thanks everyone!

Just dip all the corals in flatworm exit or something of the like. I typically do this with all my new corals anyways prior to going into QT. You can watch the flatworms fall off and die. Just be mindful not to get any of the water from that dip into the tank as with the number of flatworms you will be killing, you might poison the tank (unlikely but possible).
