Time Frame?

Well i know that my occ clowns have bonded and that the female hosts in the RBTA but the male does not. Is there a time frame when these two will begin spawning if the tank parameters stay good and constant. I have not seen a thread or poll on how long after bonding did your clowns spawn just as a reference i know everyones situation is different.

when they are sexually mature they'll start spawning...how old are your fishes?

They were Juveniles when i got them about 3 months ago. The female has grown significantly but the male has only grown a little. They are definitely bonded from what i read on the mating FAQ page.

If they were CB, should be quite a while yet. Many say that theirs don't start spawning until around 18 months.

Ok thanks that was what i was looking for just a basic time frame, and yes they were captive bred.

small but interesting thread. I have been thinking about getting a pair soon. I may try to breed in the near future.

If the female won't allow the male to sleep in the anemone, they are not a bonded pair yet. A bonded pair are rarely very far from each other.

They have a strange relationship. I have seen him in the anemone a couple of times and they do swim together and he does the little seizure thing when she comes up to him and then they do it back and forth together.
