Time to treat H. mag?

I got it a week ago and it started off great. The past few days it has been deflating during the light cycle.

This is what it looked like right after it was introduced.

I have everything I need to treat besides the cipro which I will have tomorrow. Should I put it in the QT tank now so that the clowns can't harass it?

Im no expert but from what ive gathered so far, if your nem keeps deflating or stays deflated for a few days then most likely its sick and needs treatment. Even though you wont have cipro until tomorrow I would still put it in the QT tank so that its not being stressed by the clowns. My advice for treating is make sure you have a good amount of flow actually aimed at the nem. Not enough to blow it around though. Mine was not responding well to cipro then I adjusted the PH to direct it more towards the nem after that it was like night and day. I also switched to LED lighting when I did that which im sure also helped. Follow the sticky for cipro treatment and you should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I don't feel like I actually needed to ask but the reassurance is good and I'd like to log the recovery.

Here is the QT set up. I haven't turned the PH on because it's still attaching. The LFS has erythromycin available. Should I use that tonight until I get cipro?

I also found ophthalmic cipro solution but wouldn't know how to dose it. Any opinions on if I should try one of these or just wait until tomorrow.

If you getting cipro tomorrow I'd wait and start then! Best to do a full course with one type of antibiotic! Also I've always used an air stone in the treatment tank to help keep the oxygen higher, can't hurt if you have a spare pump around!

Either bring the divider all the way to the surface or bring the water level down. I would just go to HomeDepo and get a new eggcrate can cut it to fit. I would not use a towel to jam the egg crate. use a segment of plastic tubing or something similar, inert, to keep the divider in place
Everthing may go wrong will go wrong.

Just put in new egg crate. He looks bad during the light hours but when I wake up in the morning before lights come on it looks good.

At the beginning sick Magnifica look better at night and get worst as the day go on and deflated by the afternoon. This is the normal pattern for sick Magnifica.

That's exactly how it's been. Can't wait for the cipro to arrive. This guy will look great when healthy and colored up.

It started inflating again today after looking miserable and deflated for the past few days. This is after the second day of cipro. Looks like it was starting to split or it was just severely damaged.
